Kate Nordstrom

Kate Nordstrom is an artist and educator living in Barrington, Rhode Island. She graduated with her B.A. in Studio Art from Wake Forest University and obtained her Master’s degree in Art Education from the Ohio State University. She received her Massachusetts teaching licensure through the Teacher Preparation Program at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Kate is interested in color theory and is particularly intrigued by how the human eye corrects for color disparities. She applies this curiosity about color to her watercolor paintings using a layering technique. She has exhibited her work at the Kaji Aso Studio in Boston, Massachusetts, at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at the Hillsboro Club in Pompano Beach, Florida and at the Moorings Club in Vero Beach, Florida.
